STRATEGI HIGH FIVE DALAM MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN
Abstract
Dalam Undang-undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional disebutkan bahwa Perguruan Tinggi wajib melaksanakan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, yaitu: pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Program penelitian dilakukan oleh Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia secara berkala dalam satu semester atau pun pertahun akademik. Sebagai salah satu bentuk penelitian yang dapat dilakukan oleh Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia adalah: “Strategi High Five dalam Membaca Pemahamanâ€. Pentingnya memberikan edukasi mengenai strategi pembelajaran untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami bacaan dengan baik. Selain itu, kiranya siswa dapat memiliki keterampilan dan kesadaran dalam mengembangkan kemampuannya sesuai dengan kegiatan strategi high five. Oleh karena itu, pelaksanaan penelitian guna membantu para siswa agar memiliki keinginan dan memberikan kemudahan dalam kegiatan memahami pembelajaran dengan kegiatan yang aktif dan menyenangkan. Metode pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan Pustaka. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber seperti jurnal, laporan penelitian, buku maupun e-book, serta sumber Pustaka lainnya. Hasil pelaksanaan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Strategi High five dapat memberikan kegiatan yang berbeda-beda selama proses pembelajaran seperti saat sebelum membaca, saat membaca, dan setelah membaca. Kegiatan yang bervariasi ini akan membuat suasana kelas aktif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Menimbulkan prior knowledge dengan memberikan stimulus-stimulus berupa mengaitkannya dengan kemampuan dan pengalaman awal siswa akan meningkatkan keingintahuan siswa terhadap teks sehingga akan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa.

In Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System it is stated that Higher Education is obliged to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely: teaching, research and community service. The research program is carried out by the University of Ubudiyah Indonesia periodically in one semester or even per academic year. As one form of research that can be carried out by the University of Ubudiyah Indonesia is: "High Five Strategy in Students' Reading Comprehension". The importance of providing education about learning strategies to help students understand reading well. In addition, presumably students can have the skills and awareness in developing their abilities in accordance with the high five strategy activities. Therefore, the implementation of research is to help students to have desires and provide convenience in understanding learning activities with active and fun activities. The method of conducting this research uses the literature review method. Sources of data obtained from various sources such as journals, research reports, books and e-books, as well as other library sources. The results of the implementation of this study can be concluded that the High five strategy can provide different activities during the learning process such as before reading, while reading, and after reading. These varied activities will make the class atmosphere active and fun for students. Generating prior knowledge by providing stimuli in the form of associating it with students' abilities and prior experiences will increase students' curiosity about the text so that it will improve students' reading comprehension skills.
