PELATIHAN DETEKSI DINI ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS PADA GURU SEKOLAH DASAR (SD) NEGERI 13 BANDA ACEH
Abstract
Pelatihan deteksi dini anak berkebutuhan khusus menjadi esensial dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru sekolah dasar (SD) dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan individu siswa. Artikel ini mengulas sebuah program pelatihan yang diselenggarakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mendeteksi dini anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Pendekatan pelatihan yang digunakan adalah interaktif, berpusat pada kasus, dan didasarkan pada pengetahuan terkini dalam bidang pendidikan inklusif. Fokus utama pelatihan ini adalah pada deteksi dini anak dengan kondisi autis, ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder), slow learner, dan gifted. Penelitian menggunakan desain pre-experimental dengan kelompok tunggal one-group pretest-posttest design. Subyek penelitian adalah 13 guru dari SD Negeri 13 Banda Aceh dan 4 orang calon guru SD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan peserta terkait deteksi dini ABK setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa pelatihan deteksi dini ABK dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan guru sekolah inklusi. Program pelatihan seperti ini dapat menjadi langkah penting dalam mempersiapkan guru menghadapi keberagaman siswa dalam kelas inklusi.Â

Early detection training for children with special needs is essential to enhance the understanding and skills of primary school (SD) teachers in identifying individual student needs. This article discusses a training program organized to improve teachers' understanding and skills in the early detection of children with special needs in the primary school environment. The training approach used is interactive, case-centered, and based on current knowledge in the field of inclusive education. The main focus of this training is on the early detection of children with conditions such as autism, ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder), slow learners, and gifted students. The research uses a pre-experimental design with a single group one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study are 13 teachers from SD Negeri 13 Banda Aceh and 4 prospective primary school teachers. The results show a significant improvement in participants' knowledge related to the early detection of children with special needs after attending the training. This research confirms that early detection training for children with special needs can enhance the knowledge of inclusive school teachers. Training programs like this can be an important step in preparing teachers to address the diversity of students in inclusive classrooms.
