Abstract

Abstract - The era of digitalization goes hand in hand with the development of the industrial revolution in terms of creating changes and new business opportunities. The industrial revolution 4.0 is a phase of the technological revolution that changes the way human activities are carried out in scale, scope, complexity, and transformation from previous life experiences. The emergence of various types of new jobs in the digital era requires us to have skills not only in the form of hard skills but also soft skills. Being able to communicate well, having problem-solving skills, as well as being creative and innovative are some examples of soft skills that a person must have in order to adapt to the world of work in today's digital era. Because the development of the digital world does not rule out collaboration in various fields of work. Especially now that people have applied digital technology in various aspects of their lives. The type of work that was previously unthinkable will emerge along with the community's need for the profession. Another interesting thing is that new types of work in this digital era adopt a different work culture. Offices will generally require employees to work from 8 am to 5 pm. However, many offices in the digital era are trying to develop a work environment with a more flexible concept. They freed employees' entry hours as long as the number of working hours remained the same, namely 8 hours. In addition, the office in the current digital era also frees up how to dress its employees as long as it is in accordance with the applied norms. This is different from the office culture in the previous era which required employees to wear certain formal uniforms. This seminar discusses how to see business opportunities and dare to prepare themselves in the competitive world of work in the digitalization era.
