PENINGKATAN KUALITAS RUANG PUBLIK BERBASIS PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DI DESA TIBANG KECAMATAN SYIAH KUALA BANDA ACEH
Abstract
Ruang publik desa memegang peran penting dalam mendukung interaksi sosial, kegiatan komunitas,
dan penguatan identitas lokal. Namun, banyak ruang publik di desa-desa mengalami penurunan kualitas
akibat kurangnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam perencanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengevaluasi potensi partisipasi masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kualitas ruang publik di Desa Tibang,
Kecamatan Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui observasi
lapangan, wawancara dengan tokoh masyarakat, dan forum diskusi kelompok (FGD), ditemukan bahwa
partisipasi aktif warga mampu meningkatkan relevansi fungsi ruang dengan kebutuhan lokal, serta
memperkuat rasa memiliki terhadap ruang tersebut. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya pendekatan
desain partisipatif yang adaptif terhadap konteks sosial dan budaya lokal.
