PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENERAPAN KONSEP FLOOD-RESILIENT HOUSING BERBASIS ARSITEKTUR VERNAKULAR RUMOH SANTEUT DI GAMPONG COT PREH, KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR
Abstract
Abstract Kawasan permukiman di Gampong Cot Preh, Kecamatan Kuta Baro, Kabupaten Aceh Besar merupakan salah satu wilayah yang menghadapi permasalahan genangan banjir musiman akibat curah hujan tinggi, kapasitas drainase yang terbatas, serta perubahan tata guna lahan. Di sisi lain, masyarakat Aceh memiliki warisan arsitektur vernakular berupa Rumoh Santeut yang mengandung prinsip-prinsip adaptasi terhadap lingkungan melalui konsep rumah panggung, penggunaan material lokal, serta sistem ventilasi alami. Namun, nilai-nilai arsitektur tersebut mulai ditinggalkan seiring berkembangnya pembangunan rumah modern. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai penerapan konsep Flood-Resilient Housing berbasis arsitektur vernakular Rumoh Santeut sebagai salah satu strategi mitigasi banjir pada kawasan permukiman. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Community Empowerment melalui enam tahapan, yaitu observasi awal, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), penyuluhan, diskusi partisipatif, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 20 peserta yang terdiri atas aparatur gampong, tokoh masyarakat, dan warga setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memperoleh pemahaman mengenai keterkaitan antara karakteristik Rumoh Santeut dengan prinsip-prinsip Flood-Resilient Housing, khususnya pada aspek elevasi bangunan, ruang bawah rumah, penggunaan material lokal, dan ventilasi alami sebagai bentuk adaptasi terhadap banjir. Selain itu, kegiatan ini menghasilkan Design Guideline Flood-Resilient Housing Berbasis Arsitektur Vernakular Rumoh Santeut sebagai luaran yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media edukasi dan referensi dalam pembangunan maupun renovasi rumah tinggal di kawasan rawan banjir. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pengembangan permukiman yang lebih tangguh, berkelanjutan, serta tetap mempertahankan identitas arsitektur lokal Aceh.
