SOSIALISASI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL SECARA POSITIF DENGAN TOPIK “MENJADI REMAJA CERDAS DALAM BERMEDIA SOSIAL†DI SMK NEGERI 2 BANDA ACEH

Perkembangan dunia digital yang sangat pesat, tidak diiringi oleh pemahaman mendalam tentang etika berkomunikasi di dunia internet, seperti tersebarnya media hoax atau berita tidak benar, aksi kejahatan seksual yang banyak menimpa anak- anak remaja, juga ramainya aksi penipuan di bisnis online. Ketiga fenomena ini terjadi akibat ketidaktahuan masyarakat akan etika berkomunikasi di internet melalui media sosial. Terlebih banyak sekali remaja yang menggunakan akun palsu ketika berinteraksi dengan orang lain, hal ini dapat memicu terjadinya hal-hal negative, hal ini karena remaja merasa aman ketika menggunakan media sosial. Para kalangan remaja merasa identitasnya tidak diketahui sehingga mereka merasa mampu untuk melakukan hal-hal yang mereka inginkan. Memang, kini penggunaan media sosial dianggap paling efektif untuk berkomunikasi. Namun di balik itu, angka cybercrime semakin bertambah dibandingkan dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Tidak jarang, komunikator atau pengirim pesan, kurang memperhatikan hal-hal kecil yang justru berakibat fatal. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian Fikom Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia menyelenggarakan kegiatan sosialisasi menggunakan media social secara cerdas, baik, dan beretika . Tim membuat sebuah kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) kepada siswa/siswi SMK Neg. 2 Banda Aceh, dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman.
