PENYERAHAN BANTUAN LAMPU TENAGA SURYA UNTUK PENERANGAN MESJID RAYA BAITURRAHMAN BANDA ACEH
Abstrak
Salah satu Tri Dharma dari Perguruan Tinggi adalah melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat selain melakukan pengajaran dan penelitian. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat juga dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia secara berkala dalam satu semester atau pun pertahun akademik. Sebagai salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dapat dilakukan oleh Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia adalah: “Penyerahan Bantuan Lampu Tenaga Surya (Solar Cell) untuk Penerangan Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman Banda Acehâ€. Dalam rangka membantu penerangan masjid-mesjid di Kabupaten Pidie dan Sekitarnya agar para jamaah merasa nyaman untuk hadir beribadah ke masjid serta membantu masjid agar kiranya mulai menggunakan lampu hemat listrik dikarenakan menggunakan tenaga surya (solar cells). Selain itu secara tidak langsung juga sebagai salah satu gerakan sosialisasi hemat energi bagi masyarakat sekitar agar kiranya mulai beralih menggunakan alat rumah tangga dan elektronik yang hemat energi. Oleh karena itu, pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirasa penting guna membantu para jamaah masjid dan masjid dengan adanya penerangan dari lampu hemat energi, sehingga tidak khawatir akan pemadaman listrik dan tergerak untuk berperilaku hemat energi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

One of the Tri Dharmas of Higher Education is carrying out community service in addition to conducting teaching and research. Community service programs are also carried out by Ubudiyah University Indonesia periodically in one semester or per academic year. As one form of community service that can be carried out by Ubudiyah University Indonesia is: "Delivery of Assistance for Solar Lamps (Solar Cells) for Lighting Pidie Regency Mosques". In order to help provide lighting for mosques in Pidie Regency and its surroundings so that worshipers feel comfortable attending the mosque for worship and to help mosques start using electricity-saving lights because they use solar power (solar cells). Apart from that, it is also indirectly part of the energy saving socialization movement for local communities so that they can start switching to using energy efficient household appliances and electronics. Therefore, implementing this community service is considered important to help mosque and mosque congregations with lighting from energy-saving lamps, so that they do not worry about power outages and move to behave energy-savingly in everyday life.
