PEMANFAATAN BAMBU SEBAGAI MATERIAL STRUKTUR ALTERNATIF RAMAH LINGKUNGAN DI WILAYAH LABUI KAB. ACEH BESAR
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi pemanfaatan bambu sebagai material struktur alternatif
yang ramah lingkungan di wilayah Labui, Aceh Besar, mengingat ketersediaan sumber daya bambu yang
melimpah dan karakteristiknya yang berkelanjutan metode penelitian meliputi studi literatur, survei
lapangan, dan analisis kualitatif terhadap karakteristik fisik, mekanik, serta teknik konstruksi bambu, Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bambu memiliki potensi besar sebagai pengganti material konvensional
seperti beton dan baja dalam pembangunan bangunan hunian, karena memiliki kekuatan tarik yang tinggi,
fleksibilitas, dan kemampuan tumbuh yang cepat. Selain itu, penggunaan bambu dapat mengurangi jejak
karbon dan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, serta mendukung pemberdayaan komunitas
lokal. Namun, diperlukan upaya pengawetan yang efektif untuk mengatasi tantangan terkait ketahanan
terhadap hama dan cuaca, Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan bambu sebagai material struktur alternatif di
Labui, Aceh Besar dapat menjadi solusi konstruksi yang berkelanjutan, ramah lingkungan, dan memberikan
nilai tambah ekonomi bagi masyarakat setempat.
