Abstract

Abstract
Adolescents are an age group vulnerable to various physical and mental health issues due to the biological, psychological, and social changes occurring during their growth period. Dayah (Islamic boarding school) environments play a strategic role in shaping healthy lifestyle behaviors and supporting the mental health of santri (students) through promotive and preventive approaches. This community service initiative aims to improve the health status of santri through basic health screenings, education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), and adolescent mental health seminars. The activity was conducted at Dayah Darul Hikmah in Aceh Besar Regency on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 starting at 09:00 WIB. The target participants included santri from junior high (SMP) grades VII, VIII, and IX, senior high (SMA) grades X, XI, and XII, as well as the teaching staff. The activity methods comprised basic health screenings—specifically measurements of blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature, respiratory rate, and Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC)—followed by healthy lifestyle education and mental health seminars utilizing interactive lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions. The results showed that participants engaged enthusiastically throughout the entire program. The health screenings provided an initial overview of the santri's health status and helped identify participants requiring further monitoring. The health education and mental health seminars enhanced participants' understanding of the importance of maintaining physical health and adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors, while also fostering skills to manage stress and emotions positively. This activity is expected to serve as a first step toward establishing a culture of healthy living within the dayah environment through collaboration between higher education institutions and educational establishments.
