Abstract
Older adults are vulnerable to degenerative diseases and functional decline associated with the aging process, highlighting the need for sustainable health promotion and preventive interventions. Integrated Health Posts for Older Adults (Posyandu Lansia) play an important role in supporting health monitoring and promoting healthy lifestyles. This community service program aimed to empower older adults through an integrated intervention comprising health screening, diabetic foot exercises, elderly exercises, and health education. The program was conducted from January to February 2026 at the Older Adults Integrated Health Post in Dham Pulo Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, involving 45 older adults. Activities began with health screening, including blood pressure, pulse rate, body weight, height, and identification of chronic disease history to determine participants' fitness for physical activity. Health education was subsequently provided on healthy ageing, chronic disease management, physical activity, and fall prevention. Older adults with diabetes mellitus participated in diabetic foot exercises, while eligible participants joined elderly exercise sessions. The program was successfully implemented with active participation from all participants. This integrated approach demonstrates that combining health screening, health education, and structured physical activity is a feasible community empowerment strategy to support healthy ageing and strengthen promotive and preventive services at the community level.
