FORMULASI SEDIAAN PATCH MARIGOLD (Tagetes erecta L.)SEBAGAI ANTIINFLMASI PADA KAKI TIKUS PUTIH
Abstract

Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) contain secondary metabolites such as glycosides, saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins which has been shown to have antifungal, antibacterial and anti- inflammatory properties. However, this plant is more commonly known as an ornamental plant and only produces essential oils. Patches are adhesive plasters containing medicinal ingredients that are placed on the skin to deliver the active substance. Patches offer practicality and convenience to its users. This study is an experimental laboratory study that aims to  test the ability of marigold leaf patch as an anti-inflammatory patch on the feet of rats that have been induced by 2% carrageenan. The final result of decreasing swelling volume was K+ 0.90, K- 0.99, F1 0.95, F20.93 and F3 0.92. This shows that marigold leaves have anti-inflammatory properties in rat paws injected with 2% carrageenan.
