FORMULASI SEDIAAN PERMEN HERBAL DENGAN EKSTRAK JAHE (ZINGIBER OFFICINALE) DAN DAUN MINT (MENTHA PIPERITA L.) SEBAGAI ANTI MUAL PADA IBU HAMIL
Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan tanaman herbal berupa ekstrak jahe dan daun mint dalam bentuk permen sebagai upaya mengurangi mual pada ibu hamil. Berdasarkan survei, sekitar 29% wanita hamil dari 23 negara lebih memilih obat herbal daripada kimia untuk mengatasi gejala kehamilan, seperti mual dan muntah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab mual, menganalisis efektivitas permen herbal terhadap mual pada ibu hamil, serta menilai stabilitas fisik dan kimia produk. Menggunakan metode eksperimen, penelitian ini menciptakan formulasi terbaik dengan perbandingan 83,3% jahe dan 16,67% daun mint yang disukai oleh panelis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permen herbal ini efektif mengurangi mual pada ibu hamil hingga 60%.

This study examines the use of herbal plants in the form of ginger and mint leaf extracts in the form of candy to reduce nausea in pregnant women. Based on a survey, around 29% of pregnant women from 23 countries prefer herbal medicines to chemicals to overcome pregnancy symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting. This study aims to identify factors that cause nausea, analyze the effectiveness of herbal candy on nausea in pregnant women, and assess the physical and chemical stability of the product. Using an experimental method, this study created the best formulation with a ratio of 83.3% ginger and 16.67% mint leaves which was preferred by the panelists. The results showed that this herbal candy was effective in reducing nausea in pregnant women by up to 60%.
